Plan don’t panic

As a small to medium sized business owner you may have picked up one of the most common marketing traits by default. Most businesses will have slow months; this could be the winter, the school holidays or even the run up to Christmas.
During the slow months it is tempting to increase your online marketing and social media marketing.
Well not in the style that is most typical. If you have a slow month(s) and it is simple a trend in your business you don’t want to be reaching out to customers who aren’t listening.
Instead use this time to make an online and social media marketing plan for the year ahead. This way when your busier months come (i.e. when customers are actively wanting to buy into you) then you’ll be active online and socially. Work on a calendar, pin-point important key dates and work towards these. Are you going to run contests, or an e-mail campaign, bump up your online advertising spend or head to a trade show? Do it all at the right time, with the right message.
I hear ya, “yeah but I’m busy then” great, ready to be busier?
As with all online marketing and social media marketing you can schedule e-mail campaigns, Facebook posts, twitter posts, pay-per-click advertising, in fact pretty much anything.
