Harassment is defined under the Human Rights Code as “engaging in a course of vexatious (annoying or provoking) comment or conduct, pertaining to an individual’s race, colour, place of origin, ethnic origin, ancestry, citizenship, handicap, marital status, family status, sex, age, creed, sexual orientation and record of offences, which is known or ought reasonably to be known to be unwelcome, offensive, inappropriate, intimidating or hostile.”
